Every Step of the Way Package
The Every Step of the Way Package includes two components, meant to be used together in a prenatal care setting:
1. One (1) Every Step of the Way Professional's Guide, a twenty-six page brief intervention manual designed to lead the professional through a two-way conversation with the patient about the risks of substance use and the benefits of a healthy pregnancy.
2. Ten (10) Every Step of the Way Parent’s Guides, which use a series of fetal photographs from renowned Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson to show month by month, what a healthy developing baby looks like as well as what risks alcohol and drugs may pose to the child. The booklet blends imaginative writing exercises and clinical research to connect the mother to her child and promote healthy decision-making throughout pregnancy.
